Athens will host the grand finale of the Acropolis Historic Rally 2026 on Sunday, 24 May 2026, as the international event concludes beneath the Sacred Rock of the Acropolis. Organized by the Hellenic Motor Sport Federation (OMEA), the rally forms part of the European Historic Car Championship and takes place across multiple regions of Greece, including Attica, Boeotia, Fthiotida, Karditsa, and Evrytania.

Closing Ceremony at the Acropolis
On Sunday, 24 May 2026, the official closing ceremony of the Acropolis Historic Rally (Sporting – Regularity) will take place beneath the Acropolis, in one of the most emblematic locations in the world.
The event will be attended by government representatives, officials, and members of the press, highlighting its national and international significance.
The ceremony area will be set at the roundabout located at the intersection of Dionysiou Areopagitou Street and Apostolou Pavlou Street, offering a unique backdrop directly below the Acropolis.

Traffic Regulations and Access Restrictions
For the smooth execution of the event, and with the approval of the Athens Police Department, temporary traffic measures will be applied as following:
Traffic control on Rovertou Galli Street and Propylaion Street
Use of surrounding parking areas for rally cars, officials, and media
Restricted vehicle access in designated zones during preparations
Authorities will coordinate traffic management to ensure both public safety and event operations run smoothly in the historic city center.
Ceremony Schedule and Operations
Preparation work will begin at 10:00am on Sunday, 24 May 2026 in the location behind the “Dionysos Zonar’s” café-restaurant near the roundabout. During this time, vehicle movement in the area will be restricted.
The closing ceremony will follow this schedule:
After 17:00 pm – Arrival of rally cars
Around 20:00 pm – Expected completion of the ceremony
Once competitors finish, vehicles will be parked at the Dionysos Zonar’s restaurant parking area, which will serve as the designated holding space for the event.
