  • What should I expect from Athens?

    Athens is a city full of contradictions. Acropolis pedestrian ring is a bliss while city avenues are just full of noise and loud traffic. This is an alive metropolis with half a dozen of million people in, working, going to their job, sightseeing etc. It is not “doable” on a day or “just like that”. Athens needs planning. Everything, meaning museums, metro system, food, sightseeing are there. Nevertheless cannot be discovered “just like this”. You ‘ll have to do some basic homework before.

  • Visiting Athens for the first time: What to do?

    This is a generally repeated question, mainly by cruise ship passengers, visiting for a day. I am sure you know that Athens is not a destination for just one day. Athens needs time to explore but if you have limited time then we would advise you to visit the Acropolis of Athens , the New Acropolis Museum or the National Museum and to stroll for some time around the Flea Market or Monastiraki area.
