When winter enters the chat, something extraordinary magical happens in the cold heart of Athens. An unmistakable glow spreads across Technopolis, a light that signals the return of the Christmas Factory, the most known Christmas event in Greece. For twelve years, this festive universe has transformed the iconic cultural hub of the Municipality of Athens into a radiant city of imagination, creativity and holiday wonder.
In 2025, the Christmas Factory returns brighter, bolder and more inspiring than ever. From Saturday, November 22, Santa Claus and his lively band of elves invite visitors of all ages to step into their illuminated world and discover a celebration overflowing with surprises, workshops, performances and timeless Christmas charm.

A Spectacular Opening Night
The festivities kicked off with a grand celebration: The lighting of the dazzling Christmas tree, a fireworks display that painted the Athenian sky, and a live concert by the Greek pop performer singer Lila, who set the holiday rhythm. It was just the perfect way to welcome the season and ignite the spirit of joy that defines the Christmas Factory each year.

What’s in: Shows, Workshops & Endless Magic
After the brilliant opening night, Technopolis brought in the table a mosaic of experiences; from theatrical performances and interactive games to creative workshops and culinary delights. This year’s theme centers around light and discovery, inspiring every visitor to find their own “star” through participation, imagination and play.
New for 2025: “The Snow Kingdom” – A Theatrical Journey of Heart & Courage
Stepping straight out of the pages of Hans Christian Andersen, “The Snow Queen” comes to life in a stunning new adaptation directed by Konstantinos Tsoumbaris.
Follow Gerta as she embarks on an adventure to rescue her friend Kai from the mysterious Snow Kingdom. Featuring breathtaking sets, original music, vivid costumes and video art, this magical show merges theater, movement and imagery into an enchanting story suitable for children 5+ and all adults who still believe in miracles.
Bonus: With every theater ticket, admission to the Christmas Factory is free on the same day.

“Find Your Star”: 10 Interactive Workshops (or Missions) in Santa’s City of Light
This year’s highlight is the themed workshop series “Find Your Star.” Children are invited to complete 10 imaginative missions, each one awarding them their very own symbolic “star” of creativity and joy.
Here’s the plan:
The Royal Palace – Become one of Santa’s newest elves through playful challenges
The Speedy Race – Craft the most unexpected letter to Santa
The Cine Factory – Watch your own handmade hero come alive on screen
The Elf Elementary School – Help elves rediscover the lost Christmas Star
The Dark Garden – A flashlight-guided exploration of mystery and wonder
Christmas Customs Gallery – Travel across holiday traditions on five continents
The Elf Gallery – A cozy corner for creative painting
The Elf Mansion – A musical journey through rhythms around the world
The Sensory Playground – Play through touch, sound and movement
The “Asteropasta” Pastry Shop – Create a magical recipe using flour, water, salt… and light!
Christmas Fun Park: More Rides, More Joy, More Memories
The Christmas Fun Park returns fully renewed, packed with games and attractions for every age: Ferris wheel, Carousel, Train, Boats, Baby elephants, Bumper cars, Caterpillar ride, Giant slide, Haunted house (“Ghost”), Huge ice rink, Trampolines & bungee trampolines…and many more!

Right next to the rides, the Christmas market creates a charming holiday promenade filled with handcrafted gifts, festive decorations and irresistible treats like waffles and hot chocolate to pizzas, burgers, sweets and mulled wine.
With elves dancing around and lights shimmering above, it’s pure Christmas bliss.
