Kicking things off on 1 May 2026, the beloved Athens Urban Picnic returns for its fifth edition, setting the tone for the entire festival. Hosted in the lush surroundings of Plato’s Academy Park, this open-air gathering has become a modern May Day tradition for Athenians of all ages.
Forget crowded or too far away escapes to the countryside, this is your chance to celebrate spring right in the city. Bring a blanket, settle onto the grass, and let the day unfold naturally.
