The holidays are calling and so is Athens’ favorite pop-up wonderland! The Meet Market #ChristmasEdition 2025 is back at the Old Depot OSY in Gazi, and this year, it’s going bigger, bolder, and… a little ugly. Ugly Christmas sweaters, that is.
From Friday, December 12 to Sunday, December 21, Athens’ coziest festive hub will open its doors for 10 straight days of shopping, music, food, and Christmas cheer. Weekdays you can stop by from 5pm – 10pm, and weekends from 12pm – 10pm, plenty of time to soak in the holiday spirit.
Ugly Is the New Festive
If you’ve ever loved (or secretly loved to hate) an ugly Christmas sweater, you’ll get the theme right away. This year, The Meet Market is celebrating the joy of going over the top — the louder, the brighter, the more nostalgic, the better. It’s a place for kitsch to meet creativity, fun to reign supreme, and the magic of the holidays to live in the unexpected.
Two Lineups, Double the Fun
This year, the market is splitting its 10 days into two festive lineups. Over 200 #MadeInGreece brands will be showcased, including returning favorites and 30+ new artists debuting their creations.
- Lineup 1: December 12–14
- Lineup 2: December 15–21
That’s right — two Meet Markets in one! Hunting for unique gifts, handmade jewelry, statement accessories, home décor, or natural beauty products? You’ll want to visit both. And did we mention? Entry is free.
Christmas in the Heart of Athens
The Old Depot OSY transforms into a festive wonderland where the air smells like cinnamon, coffee, and Christmas magic. Wander through rows of beautifully designed products, or try your hand at creating your own DIY ornament, the perfect keepsake or gift.
And of course, no Meet Market is complete without food. Expect:
- Street food stands and sweet treats
- Specialty coffee and aromatic cocktails
- Beers from local breweries
- Wine that hits the spot
- Glühwein (warm red wine) at the entrance (first glass on weekdays is free!)
Live, Love, Local
The Meet Market is more than shopping, it’s a community celebration. DJs will keep the energy high with back-to-back sets, and the program is packed with free activities for both kids and adults. Don’t forget to swing by the Central Info Point to enter the Big Raffle, where four huge gift baskets packed with products from the market’s amazing creators are up for grabs.
