On Sunday, March 8, the Maria Callas Museum opens a bold and inspiring dialogue on female creativity. In a special live event, the dazzling drag duo Rainbow Mermaids joins forces with legendary Greek singer Haris Alexiou.

This unique meeting centers on: artistic expression, talent and career journeys, identity and gender, social and political change, and the evolving role of women in the arts.
The Rainbow Mermaids, Mystic van Rouge and Katina Bella, have built a strong following through their thought-provoking vidcast, hosting major figures from Greece’s artistic and public spheres. Known for their humor, boldness, and fearless questions, they open meaningful conversations around gender and contemporary identity.
Haris Alexiou, one of Greece’s most iconic performers and songwriters, brings decades of artistic excellence to the stage. With collaborations spanning nearly every major Greek composer and lyricist, and performances on world-renowned stages, her presence adds depth and emotional resonance to the discussion. Cinema takes center stage as the Greek Film Archive honors acclaimed director Kleoni Flessa with a two-day tribute titled Women Pioneers in the Light.
Organized in collaboration with the Peloponnese International Documentary Festival and the Greek Documentary Association, this special event highlights women who dared to innovate in art, education, and society.

At the Greek Film Archive, cinema and music collide with:
- Live performances by singer Nena Venetsanos and composer Iraklis Paschalidis.
- Discussions on Flessa’s legacy and female creativity.

WOW (Women of the World) Festivals are globally recognized celebrations of women, girls, and non-binary people. Since its launch in London in 2010, WOW has expanded to 71 cities across six continents, reaching more than five million people worldwide.

The WOW Marketplace – At the Heart of the Festival
Located in the Agora at the SNFCC, the WOW Marketplace is a bustling, open meeting point showcasing women- and non-binary-led businesses, charities, and activist organizations.
But it’s more than just a market.
With DJ sets and pop-up concerts energizing the space, the Marketplace becomes a lively gathering spot for thousands of visitors of all ages. It highlights female creativity and entrepreneurship while giving NGOs a platform to raise awareness around pressing social issues that affect not only women, but society as a whole.
