Carnival Extravaganza at the SNFCC – Sunday, March 2, 2025
Get ready for an explosion of color, rhythm, and fun! On the last Sunday of Carnival, the SNFCC transforms into the ultimate party destination for all ages.
What to Expect:
Live Music & Dance – Feel the energy as DJ Palov kicks things off with an eclectic mix of jazz, funk, hip-hop, reggae, and Latin beats. Then, let Los Petralonicos take you on a musical journey with their blend of psychedelic Amazonian sounds, Latin, and swing rhythms.
Drum Parades & Samba Fever – Bloco Swingueira’s electrifying Brazilian percussion will fill the park with irresistible samba beats, setting the perfect Carnival mood.
Interactive Workshops & Fun for All – From engaging activities for kids to dance to movement workshops for adults. Expect games, face painting, and plenty of Carnival spirit to go around!

Celebrate Clean Monday with Traditional Koulouma – Monday, March 3, 2025
After the high-energy Carnival celebrations, the SNFCC invites you also to welcome Lent with an authentic Clean Monday (Kathara Deftera) experience at the Stavros Niarchos Park. From 12pm to 3pm immerse yourself in Greece’s rich cultural heritage with music, dance, and the traditional Koulouma feast.
Festival Highlights:
Greek Folk Music & Dance – Renowned ethnomusicologist Lambros Liavas curates a captivating showcase of regional dances, including Kalamatianos, Tsamikos, Syrtos, Zonaradiko, and Pentozali.

Join the Circle Dance – Dance groups from “Choropaideia” Folklore Association and the “Argonauts Komninoi” Pontian Club invite everyone to join in and experience the joy of Greek circle dancing firsthand.
A Taste of Clean Monday – No Clean Monday is complete without delicious Lenten delicacies! Enjoy traditional Koulouma treats like lagana bread, olives, taramasalata, and halva, embracing the customs of this special day.
