TAF, the Art Foundation, in the city center of Athens (less than 5 minutes walking from Monastiraki sqr) offers us a break from the crowded city.
In May 2009, a team of collaborators discovered an abandoned building in the center of Athens – a unique example of folk architecture – and started an independent cultural project focusing on participatory culture, experimentation and exploration.
Except the great variety of cultural projects, exhibitions, live concerts and events, TAF is wonderful for one more reason: from the moment we get in their door, which then leads to an extraordinary yard, we feel like going back in time, entering a house of an old Athenian family.
This unique place, will refresh us with spicy cocktails, sophisticated wines or the Greek fav, freddo espresso! Its bar works all day and the foundation is open 7 days a week.
