Plasmata
Digital Art - Music - Cinema - Performances - Talks

An exhibition between reality and illusion awaits at Pedion tou Areos park. Plásmata 3, an unmissable three-week event in Athens, running until June 15th, 2025.

Is that owl next to the statue of Athena really moving? Why are there sheep from Lebanon in a park in Athens? Do seashells sing? Would you like to become a bat? Onassis Stegi invites you to experience the world differently.

Plásmata 3, an exhibition by Onassis Stegi at Pedion tou Areos park, invites you into a world where the everyday becomes magical. For 20 days, Pedion tou Areos hosts 25 hybrid works by Greek and international artists, spread across the park like a dream. These works converse with our daily lives and give space to the analog, the physical, and the imaginary.

Plásmata 3 is an experience of fantasy and wandering. Let’s wander around the park together with parallel events full of music, screenings, talks and unexpected flavors.

In the mood for dancing? Alongside the artworks, Onassis Stegi’s web radio, STEGI.RADIO, brings more than 70 live sets from DJs rooted in nearby neighborhoods, discussions, and live broadcasts.

Let’s talk things through. An ephemeral platform for public discourse is formed, where 24 speakers reflect on the park, the surrounding neighborhoods, and what public art and public space mean.

Are you searching for screenings under the stars? A tribute of six feature films and seven shorts turns the park into a magical open-air cinema, where fantasy meets memory, the city, and the future. From Hayao Miyazaki to Luc Besson and from Konstantina Kotzamani to Yorgos Zois, the screenings engage with the exhibition’s central questions: How real is what we live? Where do we feel we belong? What is the face of Athens—and who are the creatures that inhabit it?

Feeling hungry? At the same time, scents and flavors from the communities living around the park enrich the experience, inviting us into a celebration of public space, open to all the city’s beings.

What’s around the Park? Use the Plásmata 3 App to explore creative and cultural enterprises around the park, find their augmented reality avatars and participate in their workshops and community actions.

You’ve come this far. You cannot miss this exhibition. The creatures of Pedion tou Areos park seem so eager to meet you.

Daily from 6pm.
