The New Year’s Eve festivities will kick off at 22:30 with Afro-Greek sensation Idra Kayne leading a 10-member orchestra through a sensational musical journey spanning disco, soul, hip hop, and RnB hits from the 80s to today.
From the timeless tunes of Donna Summer to the contemporary beats of Dua Lipa, you’ll be grooving to iconic tracks that transcend eras. As the clock ticks, the sky over Athens will be illuminated by a breathtaking fireworks display, marking the beginning of the SNF RUN: 2024 FIRST RUN, an annual road race organized by the Stavros Niarchos Foundation (SNF).
Eclectic Beats
Embrace the night with a massive party featuring renowned DJs, including the legendary Bill Brewster, co-founder of London’s iconic Fabric Club. Known for his eclectic mix of genres, Brewster will spin everything from acid house to hip hop, creating a party atmosphere where everyone can lose themselves in the music.
Perform an age-old Greek tradition of breaking a pomegranate from the 29th to the 31st of December, an emblematic gesture synonymous with prosperity and good fortune. Get into a world of literature at the grandiose Booktopia Group’s two-day festive book fair. This jubilant affair promises literary delights plethora, accompanied by engaging activities, delectable snacks, and delightful gifts.
It takes place at the Kypseli Municipal Market, serving as a picturesque venue – definitely a must-to-visit, where the festivities unfold from 10 am to 10 pm, offering an opulent celebration of culture and knowledge.
